Job Description

Ability to assist in lifting, transferring and positioning patients agility to respond quickly to unexpected resident safety needs and medical emergencies.

Maintains security and confidentiality of all information at all times.

Demonstrates the ability to function successfully in a team environment.

Exhibits courteous, compassionate and respectful treatment of all customers.

Displays a positive attitude, flexibility and ability to adapt to new and changing situations.

Participates in identifying potential problems or situations and suggests solutions.

Administers, supervises and assists in overall resident care.

Operates and maintains equipment to departmental standards

Performs safety and infection control procedures to ensure a safe and clean environment for the residents and staff.

Complies with and maintains regulatory compliance requirements as defined for the nursing care on the unit and according to facility standards.

Completes and demonstrates competencies in required yearly unit competencies and education requirements as defined by the facility, and Director of Nursing.

Performs a comprehensive assessment of patient on admission and assessment or reassessment at regular intervals appropriate for the condition of the patient or as ordered by the provider

Rounds to observe resident s conditions, assesses findings, plans nursing care, answers resident s call light and records appropriate information into resident s chart.

Administers medications, treatment, provider specific care to patients in compliance with facility and nursing policies/procedures

Makes arrangements for resident to see his/her provider(s) and notifies family member(s)/responsible party

Notifies provider(s), Resident Care Coordinator, Director of Nursing and other appropriate individuals when a change in the resident s condition occurs.

Qualifications and Job Info

1-2 years of recent experience

Basic to intermediate computer skills.

Other qualifications/certificate/license: Current CPR certification.Behavioral Competencies:

BLS certification

ACLS preferred

Active license

LPN diploma/certification
