Job Title (#6003) - LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) / Pediatric - Ashburnham, MA

The Health Services Nurse (RN or LPN) provides professional health care to students and coordinates continued health care with allied health care professionals.

Compensation and Benefits for the LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) / Pediatric:

  • The starting salary for this position is $4,160.00 to $9,600.00 per month.
  • Permanent Full Time job.
  • Benefits are Competitive and Negotiable

Requirements of the LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) / Pediatric:

  • Graduate from an Accredited Nursing Program. BSN preferred.
  • Current Registered Nurse or Practical Nurse license within the state of Massachusetts.
  • Current BLS certification with updates annually.
  • Experience in the triage process and outpatient health setting.
  • Ability to communicate well with students, parents, and fellow professionals
  • Keen analytical skills and a detail-oriented work style.
  • Clinical experience with adolescent health preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of experience required.

Responsibilities of the LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) / Pediatric:

  • The Health Services Nurse (RN or LPN) provides professional health care to students and coordinates continued health care with allied health care professionals.
  • Applies appropriate theory from nursing and associated areas to meet and uphold the mission statement of the school.
  • Uses a systematic approach to problem-solving in nursing practice.
  • Contributes to the education of the student with and without special needs by continuous assessment of the student, planning and providing appropriate nursing care, and evaluating outcomes of care.
  • Uses effective written verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
  • Maintains a comprehensive school health program as established by the Director of Health Services.
  • Assists students, families, and the school community to achieve optimal levels of wellness through appropriately designed and delivered health education.
  • Promotes quality of care, pursues continued professional enhancement, and demonstrates professional conduct.
