Scope of the Job

Under the supervision of Medical Director, Provider or Nurse Manager, the LPN utilizes the nursing process to assist in the provision of ambulatory health care services that reflect the ambulatory health care providers philosophy and standard of ambulatory health and nursing care of assigned patients.

Essential Functions

1. Maintains patient privacy.
2. Ensures quality and safe delivery of ambulatory health care services.
3. Clinical care is implemented per ambulatory health care standards and policies and procedures.
4. Promotes a positive work environment for staff and patients.
5. Promotes and maintains a provider environment that is in compliance with federal, state and local agencies.
6. Assesses and monitors patients to identify problem, then documents and communicates this information to provider.
7. Functions within guidelines of organization and Florida Nurse Practice Act.
8. Fulfills additional performance and responsibilities as assigned and as necessary.
9. Participates in performance improvement projects
10.Participates as an active care team member in the coordination of patient care.

One year LPN experience preferred.
