Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) Willamette Valley Oregon
The birth center that provides the full scope midwifery, well woman services, birth in a free standing birth center or a hospital setting. Supportive and collaborative relationships with OB/GYN group and the hospital staff are well established. The center is accredited through CABC, and licensed by the OHA. The nurse midwifes are fully privileged at the hospital and they provide clinical services at the prenatal clinic.
The birth center offers two private birth suites with birth tubs in a spa like environment. The nurse midwives delivered 445 babies in 2015. 110 were attended at the birth center with the remainder at the hospital.
On Call: includes 1st call, 2nd call, and weekend call. Typical work schedule is 2 clinic days, 2 12 hour call shift per week, and call every 3rd weekend per month. An average of two 2nd call shifts per week are scheduled with the frequency to be called in for 2nd call very low. There are 2-3 occurrences/month when a midwife is called in for 2nd call
