Overview
POSITION SUMMARY: According to professional nursing standards of care, performs a variety of advanced nursing diagnostic care of the cardiovascular patient in an ambulatory or hospital settings. Works in collaboration with physicians and other members of the interdisciplinary team to evaluate and treat, order testing or additional services, conduct and interpret appropriate diagnostic and laboratory tests, and prescribes pharmacologic agents and treatments in accordance with established protocols, policies and evidenced based practice. Provides expert education, consultation, and patient advocacy.
- Dynamic psychiatric and psychology practice actively seeks an advanced practice nurse with specialized training in psychiatry.
- Our caring professionals in this practice site include four psychiatrists, seven psychologists, two RNs, and a supportive office staff.
- This OSF Medical Group practice is functionally integrated with OSF Saint Francis Medical Center’s Behavioral Health Outpatient Programs, which serve both adults and children. These programs include eating disorders, partial hospitalization, and direct assessment and referral team. The Illinois Neurological Institute (INI) offers medical psychology and neuropsychology services.
- As an Advanced Practice Nurse with the OSF Medical Group psychiatry and psychology practice, you will have a referral base and medical support of 60 primary care OSF Medical Group physicians in the Peoria area.
- This practice offers a variety of professional opportunities in outpatient consultation and patient management, as well as interaction with sub-specialty physicians and residents on staff at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center.

Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Current Certification as PMHNP Current Licensure in the state of Illinois as an APN Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and State of Illinois for prescribing of narcotics, if applicable Current Basic Life Support certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
