Job Description
Seeking a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our growing Critical Care Team.
Position details include:
- Join a growing, team driven care model including dedicated Critical Care physicians and four advanced practice providers
- Opportunity for Cardiovascular specialization
- Support a 48 (growing to 50) bed ICU including cardiac, trauma, medical, surgical and neuro adult patients
- Assist with hospital codes along with Critical Care physician and code team
- Opportunity to learn ICU procedures such as PICC placement, intubation, chest tubes and central lines
- State of the art ICU in our newly completed nine-story, 390,000 square foot patient tower
- Mix of week day/night/evening and weekend shifts
Educational/Experience Requirements:
- Master's degree in Nurse Practitioner with Acute Care specialty preferred
- Or Physician Assistant with ICU experience
- 1-2 years of APP experience preferred
- Consideration for nursing ICU/Cardiac/Neuro/ED experience
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
- Current Illinois registered nurse license and advanced practice nurse licensure/physician assistant licensure
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Must satisfactorily complete all continuing education including NIH Stroke Scale Certification regarding the care of acute stroke patients
