Asante is seeking an experienced CVTS Nurse Practitioner to join our CVTS team in Medford, Oregon. The Nurse Practitioner will be working with a team of 2 CVTS surgeons and 7 NPs/PAs, Practice Manager, RN, MA's and support staff. The NP will have primary responsibilities of inpatient rounding/case management of postoperative thoracic surgery patients and discharge planning. Additional responsibilities included outpatient thoracic care coordination, medication management, and coordinating referrals.

Education

Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program

Experience

1-2 years of experience as a NP practicing with cardiothoracic surgical patients. Will consider applicants who have completed an acute setting rotation as a part of their advanced practitioner program.

Licensure/Certifications

Nurse Practitioner licensed by the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) along with a DEA certificate. Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified by American Heart Association (AHA) is required upon start. Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs; Provider shall meet all qualifications to participate in hospital's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.
