Description:
- CROSS COVERAGE BETWEEN THREE NORTHSHORE LOCATIONS - HIGHLAND PARK, SKOKIE, AND EVANSTON
- Unit: ICU Profession: Nurse Practitioner (no PAs)
- Number of providers needed: Two providers, one FT (40hrs/week) and one PT (20hrs/week).
- Ideal Start Date: As soon as C&P completed
- Length of Need: Approx 3 months
- Schedule: Varies- the primary need is 10-2200 or 11-2300 with day times on weekends, and holidays. They will be staffing in any of three ICUs (Highland Park, Skokie or Evanston)
- Department Description: Evanston, mixed med/surg ICU. High acuity surgical population. APNs are consultants. Highland Park & Skokie, mixed med/surg units, lower acuity surgery, however CVS pts at HP. APNs are primary service.
- Patient Volume: 5-20 patients per day pending census
- Patient Population/Age: Adults/gero
- Documentation System: EPIC
- Special Procedures/Unit Details: Arterial Line, central line preferred, vent management is a must. Special Equipment: IABP, VAD, ECMO, impella experience a plus but not mandatory
- Certifications Required: ACNP or AGACNP board certification; ACLS & BLS from AHA; IL Controlled substance license and a DEA license
- Skills Required: Experienced critical care APN w/ significant (4-5 yrs full time) critical care experience as a bedside RN prior to NP role.
