(Archived) Locums PICU NP Need in SoCal

Job Description
- Start Date:
- ASAP - ongoing
- Schedule:
- 2 nights per week
- 13 shifts per month preferred
- Each shift is approx. 12 hours, which will include three (3) night shifts and two to three (2-3) weekend day shifts.
- Shared holiday coverage with NP providers.
- Nighttime shifts generally start at 19:00.
- Experience Required:
- 1+ years clinical experience as a pediatric Nurse Practitioner; 1+ years clinical experience with cardiac patient population.
- 4 years pediatric nursing experience
- Procedures:
- Remove chest tubes, ECMO
- Average Daily Census:
- 8 avg
- Responsibilities:
- Comfortable with EVDs, sedation, as well as managing and adjusting vents based on blood gases and clinical picture
- Being able to perform a Lumbar Puncture would be helpful, but otherwise the procedures are optional.
- Certifications:
- BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP
- Certified Pediatric NP
- Support Staff:
- Intensivists, cardiologists, CV Surgeons, RNs (1:1 and 1:2 ratios)
