Job Description
- Dates:

As soon as provider is credentialed, 7-12 shifts a month.
Shifts are 7a-4p, 11a-8p, 5p-2a, and 10p-7a
- Provider will need to come in the day before for orientation

- Schedule:
- Shifts are 7a-4p, 11a-8p, 5p-2a, and 10p-7a

- 204-bed community hospital
- 26-bed emergency department with 6 designated Psych beds
- 4-bed convenient care staffed by one Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant and an RN or Paramedic
- ECU Health Air and ECU Health Ground Support to immediately transfer patients
- EHR -EPIC
- 24-hour Hospitalist and Radiology coverage
- Procedures required: Suturing, assessments, radiology, lab and CT interpretation, foreign body removal, limited ophthalmology, muscular skeletal, infectious processes
- Specialties are: Cardiology, orthopedics, nephrology, general surgery, urology, infectious disease and psychiatry specialists are available locally. Strokes, brain bleeds and acute MIs are routinely transferred out to tertiary care facilities by ED physicians.
- EMR
- Epic (HealthSpan)
- Requirements:
- Must be board certified
- NC DEA required
- Required certifications if NOT EM trained (no exceptions): ACLS, ATLS & PALS
- Must have practiced Emergency Medicine in the last 12 months.
