Job # 21123: Full-Time Perm Nurse Practitioner Hospitalist – north of Raleigh-Durham, NC
Requirements:
- Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Must have at least 2 years of inpatient experience
- Must be okay managing ICU and vent patients - Open ICU – 6 beds with ventilators (We encourage that only MD sees the ICU patients unless NP/PA follows their patients there.)
- Active North Carolina medical license (or actively applying)
- Must have a positive attitude with a lot of energy and enthusiasm
About position:
- Full Time NP/PA Daytime Hospitalist position
- Target start date is late December/early January
- Block Schedule 7on/7off
- 12-hour day shifts: 7am – 7pm
- 182 shifts per year total with swapping flexibility (183 days off)
- The daytime shift will have 2 providers (1 physician and 1 mid-level)
- See an average of 12-16 patient per provider which includes rounding and admissions. The MD and the NP/PA split the census list 50/50 and the NP/PA works independently but will consult with the physician if needed.
- MD and NP/PA alternate who's on first call each day. The person on 1st call must stay until 7:00 PM, the person who's not 1st call can leave early at 5:00 PM if the 1st person lets them
- No procedures
- Adult medicine only
- Hospitalist and ED respond to codes
- EMR – MediTech
- Hospital: 62-bed not-for-profit community hospital located thirty minutes north of the Raleigh-Durham and Chapel Hill areas. They offer a wide range of services to the community with personal inpatient and outpatient healthcare services.
Pay Details:
- Annual Salary: $ $130,000.00 Base Salary
- Sign-on Bonus: $2,500.00 - paid on the first paycheck
- Continuing Medical Education (CME) Allowance: $1,500.00 - per year
- Shift Commitment: Total of 182 shifts annually. 14 Shifts per 28-day cycle
