Qualifications:

 Degree/Education: Master's degree in nursing.
 Certifications in addition to Basic Life Support (5.2.3): Certified in the specialty required by the TO as a Nurse Practitioner by the
American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), American Academy of Nurse
Practitioners (AANP) or the recognized national nursing certification organization for the specialty area of practice as appropriate (for example, National Certification Board of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Nurses, American Nurses Association, National Certification Corporation for the Obstetric, Gynecologic and Neonatal Specialties).
 Experience: In addition to exhibit 5, HCW will have 24 months experience within the last 36 months in direct patient care clinical setting.
 Licensure/Registration: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse.

Duties:
The Health Care Worker serves as a Nurse Practitioner performing patient care duties for outpatients in accordance with established policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines within the scope of practice. The MTF also requires the HCW to perform Base Operational Medicine Clinic (BOMC) functions such as Deployment Related Health Assessments (DRHA), annual Mental
Health Assessments (MHA), Separation History and Physical Exams (SHPE), Preventive Health Assessments (PHA), and civilian employee physicals and must comply with Department of Defense and Air Force DRHA, MHA, SHPE, and PHA policy and guidance, to include required standards of care and clinical practice guidelines. Additionally, the HCW must a have working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and become proficient in
the use of the following computer systems: Composite Health Care Systems (CHCS) – Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA), Aeromedical Services Information Management System (ASIMS), and Individual Medical Readiness (IMR). The MTF also requires the HCW to: (a) Attend any applicable installation or higher level BOMC associated meetings or training opportunities; (b) Monitor, communicate, update, and create
reports for any BOMC assessment metrics; (c) Contact patients and schedule BOMC appointments as well as explain requisite paperwork to the patient. When scheduling patients for BOMC appointments, staff will consider the patients other pending medical appointments in an attempt to minimize the patient’s number of visits to the clinic; (d) Train clinic staff on
DRHA, MHA, PHA, and SHPE completion and metrics in the event of staff absences. Also serves and participates in committees, functions and other meetings as directed. Provides relevant and timely information to these groups, and assists with decision-making and process improvement. Participates in customer service initiatives, and medical readiness activities
designed to enhance health services.
