New Jersey Nurse Practitioner - Nocturnist Locums Opening

• Coverage needed ASAP, upon credentialing and ongoing
• Accepting NPs only
• Required:
  • Active NJ License
  • BC or BE
  • Active BLS/ACLS
  • Ability to interpet EKG
• Currently needing providers for night shifts, 7p-7a, some call required
• Shift times: 7a – 7p, 7p – 7a
• Total Beds: 775
• Average PPD: 10-17; Average PPD at night: 17-22
• Normal credentialing is: 60- 90 days
• Temporary privileges can be granted if a provider has a clean background
• Duties:
  • Respond to Rapid respond call and code blue and able to provide critical care as needed
  • Assess the patient’s physical status, review the medical record for pertinent history /lab and prescribe treatment as they feel situation warrants.
  • Communicate and collaborate with attending physician
  • Determine if patient needs higher level of care
  • Complete admissions from ED assigned by admitting physician
  • Perform H&Ps
  • Cross cover for the hospitalist team as needed
  • Perform such other responsibilities as reasonably assigned by the chief hospitalist and within APP scope of practice
