We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner to join our medical practice in Slidell, LA. Our state-of-the-art office is in Slidell- a city on the northeast shore of Lake Pontchartrain in St. Tammany Parish.

We are looking for someone who has great communication skills, great bedside manner and lots of experience conversing with patients. We are flexible in our need and can accommodate a practitioner looking for either part time or full-time employment to join our integrated medical team.

The incoming practitioner will provide professional medical direction, oversight, and direct patient care for the practice. The ideal candidate is personable, enjoys focusing on getting the best outcome for the patients, has experience working with joint injections/orthopedics, and is a team player willing to work with a multidisciplinary team.

The NP duties include performing medical/physical exams, ordering films, reviewing diagnostic tests, performing joint and trigger point injections as medically necessary.

We work hard to ensure that patient care is focused on prevention and function based as opposed to symptom-based treatments. We have a dedicated and knowledgeable team of medical doctors, chiropractic physicians, advanced practice providers, physical therapists, medical assistants, and support staff at the ready to help our patients as a collaborative team.

Duties:

  • Patient Consultations/evaluations and exams (Review medical history, physical exam healthcare needs and goals, review pertinent records)
  • Order and review diagnostic imaging/labs (Blood draws/labs, urine collection, allergy testing)
  • Diagnosis and Treatment plan formulation
  • Patient education as to the diagnosis, treatment plan, care plan options, need for following up with continued care, and pre and post care
  • Perform treatments to include B12 shots, joint injections, and trigger point injections
  • Order therapeutic devices such as DME and TENS units
  • Monitor patients for compliance
  • Collaborating with colleagues (Chiropractor, physical therapist, and support staff) for comprehensive patient care, seamless office flow, and meeting the objectives of the company
  • Documentation- thorough, timely and accurate
  • Supervise and collaborate with the MAs for medical services
  • Maintain communication with the supervising physician
  • Participate in regular office/team meetings
  • Regular patient follow up and care
  • Maintain proper cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and work environment

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (NP)
  • NP license to practice in LA
  • Experience in Joint injections a plus
  • Experience in orthopedics, Physical Medicine, functional medicine, and/or regen medicine preferred
  • Prefer a practitioner credentialed in Major Insurance plans

Schedule:

  • Part time vs Full time
  • Monday – Friday (office hrs end at 2 on Fri.)

Compensation (range):

  • $100k-$120k per year (DOE)
