Primary Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Locums Position in Western Nevada

Details/Requirements:
*Primary Care/medical coverage for Forensic patient population
*Start date needed is ASAP - close to Reno, Nevada
*Part-time or full-time coverage - Wednesdays and Fridays are needed for sure during the week, but other days are flexible
*Long-term locums opportunity
*You will do H&Ps for newly admitted patients (up to ten per week) and consultations/management of patients' general medical conditions
*Facility is a maximum security psychiatric facility providing comprehensive forensic mental health services. NP is needed to provide primary care coverage for these patients.
*Patients are court ordered to this facility for evaluation and/or treatment for restoration to legal competency.
*Psychiatrist retains primary ownership of patients
*Low general medical acuity
*Anyone in acute medical crisis is shipped out to local med-surg hospitals.
*Average length of stay is three months. Some stay up to ten years.
*You will be working with a team of physicians/Psychiatrists.
*Travel, lodging and malpractice insurance provided.
