Job Description
Fantastic opportunity available in Atlanta, Georgia for an experienced physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join an established neurosciences team! This position covers Neuro ICU and Neurovascular patients in the ICU, ED, and Floor.
Responsibilities:
- Full-time permanent position - Neuro Critical Care
- Nocturnist - 3 12 hour shifts - 7 PM to 7 AM
- Perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, conduct histories and physicals, order and interpret appropriate diagnostic and laboratory tests
- First assist on procedures and surgeries as needed
- Placement and removal of chest tubes, central venous and/or peripheral catheters, pulmonary arterial catheters, EVDs
- Lumbar punctures
- Formulate and implement treatment plan for acute illness management in collaboration with supervising physician
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in critical care and/or neurosurgery, neurology, or Neuro-ICU
- Georgia Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner License
- Ability to build rapport with patients and thrive in a fast-paced environment
