Job Description

Occupational Medicine NP/PA opening with a top health system in Southern, OR.

The Occupational Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant applies assessment and treatment principles directed toward conserving the health and safety of employees by using a preventative approach in evaluation, health screening, immunization and education. Serves as liaison for work-related injuries/illnesses, fitness for duty and ADA issues between supervisors, employees, physicians, and insurer. The Employee Health Provider is licensed as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) and will perform Employee Health activities within the scope of practice allowed by their licensure. The Employee Health focuses on the health and wellness needs of employees and their health.

Education: Graduation from a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.

Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in employee health or occupational medicine or other health related specialty required. Must have the ability to communicate effectively and maintain good working relationships with all levels of employees and the physician community.

Works as a team member and encourages teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers, other departments, and outside agencies. Must have demonstrated knowledge in the areas of health enhancement, health education, and workers' compensation laws.
