Job Description

Seeking a full time Physician Assistant Nurse Practitioner for Urgent Care practice in Grass Valley, California (one hour from Sacramento, CA)

Full time schedule is 3-4 days per week.

Must be able to see all age patients

  1. Qualifications
    1. Training and Experience

1) Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program with current certification

2) Minimum of one year Urgent Care or ED work experience after postgraduate training preferred.

    1. Skills required include competency in the following
    1. Evaluation and treatment of children and adults
    2. Laceration repair
    3. Lesion biopsy and removal
    4. Subcutaneous abscess and hematoma I&D
    5. Interpretation of x-rays, ECG’s, and spirometry
    6. Management of simple fractures and dislocations, including splinting and casting
    7. Joint and bursa arthrocentesis
    8. Operation of slit lamp, and removal of superficial foreign bodies from the eye
    9. Worker’s comp regulations
    10. Use of Windows, email and electronic charts (or willingness to learn)
    1. Required Licenses/Certifications
  1. Current California license (NP or PA). Submit evidence of required continuing medical education.
  2. Current BLS/AED or ACLS certification
