Job Description

  • Seeking a Locums Pain Management Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Irvine, CA
  • Schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Will act as a consultant to manage chronic pain patients
  • Will be under the supervision of an Anesthesiologist
  • Will do pain consultations, evaluations and management of new patients, and/or follow up evaluation of ambulatory patients presenting to chronic pain clinic and post procedural patients
  • As needed will obtain a health history and physical assessment, round daily with the pain team, write progress notes, identify problems, formulate plans, review labs, and provide patient education
  • Will be responsible for safe opioid prescribing and management of medications within the context of chronic pain management
  • Must have experience with chronic pain patients
  • Must have experience working in both inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Needs to have DEA, BLS, and ACLS
  • Must be registered with CURES upon start
