(Archived) NP for Pediatric Urgent Care in Oklahoma City

We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner with pediatric experience to join us in our BRAND NEW pediatric urgent care clinic. This is an opportunity to be a founding provider and work alongside the lead Pediatrician. You will be able to grow with our organization. Who we are:

In our clinic, we will provide acute care services to pediatric patients ages 0-18. Our goal is to provide a pleasant, efficient, and cost-effective alternative option for families when they cannot be seen by their PCP and want to avoid the emergency department. We will have ability to perform in-house x-rays, EKG, IV fluids, oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, and basic lab services. We strive in developing rapport with our patients & families; providing exceptional care; and take great privilege in helping to treat pediatric patients.

Compensation:

• $120,000/year

Work Schedule:

• Clinic open 12PM - 10PM on Monday-Friday and 8AM – 6PM on weekends.
• Closed on major holidays
• Average of 35 hours per week is considered full time

Work Expectations:

• As volumes grow, NP will be expected to see 4-5 patients per hour
• NP should be proficient in standard outpatient procedures (sutures, splinting, I&D, IV placement)

Candidate Parameters:

• Open to new PNP grads
• Open to constructive feedback & continuing education
• OK license - BLS, PALS

Language Skills:

• Ability to communicate in English both verbally and written.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
• An exceptional communicator, orally and written.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively and courteously work with patients and their families as well as co-workers.
