Seeking a Full-Time Permanent Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner!
Details:
Seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join the PICU team! Looking for a skilled individual, graduate from an accredited program, to provide assistance and care for children with a wide variety of complex acute, critical, and chronic illnesses in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. This position will function independently under the supervision of an attending pediatric intensivist.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Required
- Graduate from an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program
- Nurse Practitioner, Acute Care Pediatric Certification required
- Must have current certificate of authority and certificate to prescribe
- Minimum 2-3 years of pediatric critical care experience
- BLS and PALS required

This facility is a pediatric tertiary care center representing over 30 medical and surgical specialties offering care throughout South Texas. They are one of the only free-standing children's hospital in the state. On an annual basis, the hospital sees nearly 200,000 patient visits, including nearly 50,000 in their emergency room which was created exclusively for children.
