Nurse Practitioner - Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: Regular 12 Pay Rate: $73.00 - 85.00

We are seeking a Licensed Registered Nurse Practitioner- Pediatric Intensive Care Unit to cover in 2020.


Job Details:
  • Provides nursing and medical services to patients, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention, as well as the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic diseases.
  • Responsibilities include ordering, conducting and interpreting appropriate diagnostic and laboratory tests; prescription of pharmacologic agents and treatments and non-pharmacologic therapies in a cost-efficient manner.
  • Works autonomously as well as in collaboration with a variety of individuals to diagnose and manage clients’ health care problems. Serves as health care resource, interdisciplinary consultant and patient advocate.
  • Demonstrates commitment to a patient and family-focused model of care. The employee will follow applicable policies and procedures in handling supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment.
Qualifications:
  • Two-Three years of pediatric experience preferred. One year of specialty area experience preferred. Masters of Science degree in Nursing from an N.L.N. accredited graduate school of nursing required.
  • License, Registration or Certification Required: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing for “hold out as a Nurse Practitioner” as defined in Section 1482, Nurse Practice Act, Business and Professional Code.
  • Current California Registered Nurse License and current certification as a Nurse Practitioner. Current American Heart Association PALS card and AHA CPR card. National certification as appropriate - preferred.
  • Eligible for Furnishing License
