Seeking a Full-Time Permanent Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner!

Overview:

This position will be responsible for providing direct clinical services to patients within the scope of services allowed under the DC Board of Nursing and in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Psych Committee and the hospital by-laws. This included performing psychiatric evaluations on patients, in collaboration with a supervising psychiatrist and a treatment team, prescribing medications, providing clinical assessment and diagnosis in accordance with DC law and the staff by-laws and other duties as assigned.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Candidates must have a Master's, postgraduate, or doctoral degree from a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program accredited by he CCNE or the ACEN. Eligible for Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification through the ANCC.

Must have a minimum of 3-4 years of nursing experience and at least 1 year as an Advanced Practice Provider, preferably in an inpatient psychiatric setting.
