Aligned Telehealth, Inc. is a National Behavioral Health Hospitalist and Telemedicine Company delivering high impact Clinical Services in varied clinical settings including Acute Inpatient, C/L, ER Correctional and Outpatient settings.
Aligned Telehealth is looking for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide onsite psychiatric services in a Restoration to Competency Program in Kern County. This jail-based mental health treatment program serves individuals who have been found incompetent to stand trial. We offer an employed position with competitive compensation, $10,000 sign on bonus and excellent benefits. We also offer independent contractor agreements.
Facility: Kern County Jail
Location: Bakersfield, CA
Work Schedule: Full-Time/40 hours per week Monday - Friday (no weekends and no call)
Scope of Work:
Patient caseloads are managed by the Psychiatrist and Psych NP. Patients must be seen at least once per week, some are seen more frequently. There are approximately 30 patients in the treatment program currently. Psychologists conduct the forensic evaluations and assessments. The program has a full-time supervising psychiatrist that will work with the NP. The acuity of the patient case load is high. The program does not force medicate patients in this program and uses treatment protocols in a team-based approach. There is onsite 24/7 medical staff to serve patients medical needs and medication support.
Essential Credentialing Requirements:
- Must have an active California nurse practitioner license
- Must be a board certified Nurse Practitioner
