Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Locums Job in Brooklyn
We are in need of a certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for an ACT team in Brooklyn for 10 hours per week.
Intensive Mobile Treatment (IMT) Team aims to engage and provide person centered and recovery-oriented treatment services to people who have been identified by the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene’s (DOHMH) NYC Safe Initiative, as high concern individuals.
The target population is 25 individuals who are homeless, often in shelters, who experience frequent contact with the police and the criminal justice system. They are repeatedly seen in the ED, admitted to inpatient psychiatric units and are likely to have co-occurring substance use disorders and mental illness. We aim to meet people where they are, attempting to involve their family members, and their community, as much as possible.
The Psychiatrist will be providing clinical leadership and working closely with the program director. The NP will be participating in team meetings to evaluate risk and risk management needs, and coordinating care with family and other community treatment providers, along with Nursing Staff and Program Director
Need is now and ongoing.
