Job Description

Provide medical management and assessment of patients.

Ensure environmental safety and crisis management for the patient population.

Direct the implementation of behavior management programs and ensure consistent carry-through.

Make patient & task assignments to subordinates & monitor their performance of duties.

Provide training & education to staff, patients, families, & others.

Document patient care ensure that data is accurate, & that it is included in the master treatment plan via timely nursing care plan updates.

Work with the treatment team to provide a consistently therapeutic milieu.

Assigned a caseload of patients and provide direct care to their patients, which includes facilitating social and emotional needs, supervising medication schedules and evaluating patient progress.

Assist physicians with patient management

Evaluate and treat patients with mental disorders

Instruct and educate patients and families

Orient and mentor new staff members

Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care

Qualifications

2 years of recent Behavioral Health experience

One year inpatient psychiatric experience with adults, adolescents and/or children preferred

BLS/ACLS certification

Current Pennsylvania State Registered Nurse License

Current Pennsylvania Driver’s License

Current CPR Certification

HWC Certification

Demonstrate the highest level of professionalism when interacting with patients, families, physicians, and hospital staff members.
