Job Description
Seeking a Full-Time Permanent Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner!
Overview:
Provide patient care and medical services to neurosurgical patients in the outpatient setting as well as supporting care of the neurosurgical patient in operating room emergency department and inpatient units. \
Description:
Performing comprehensive and problem focused histories and physical examinations, interpret lab and diagnostic tests. Develop a treatment plan for neurosurgical conditions within the scope of practice and in conjunction with supervising neurosurgeon. Implement therapeutic intervention for specific conditions requiring consultation, referral or evaluation by the supervising neurosurgeon or other healthcare professionals. Provide first assistant surgery under direct supervision of the supervision neurosurgeon. Provide consultation and follow-up on inpatient and emergency room patients. Performs other functions as required.
Shift:
40 hrs/wk. Mon-Fri 8 hr shifts between 7a-6p.
About the Facility:
This hospital has one of the busiest Emergency Centers in the state year round and is busiest during the summer months. They are located on a 40-acre campus which included a psych center, medical office building, and an infectious disease clinical services center.
