Seeking Director of Surgical Services in southern NH

Join a 200+ bed hospital in the Northeast looking for a nurse leader. This hospital offers a range of services, including emergency care, mental health, weight loss treatment and pregnancy and birth services. It is also the only Level II Trauma Center on the Seacoast and one of only three in New Hampshire to earn this important distinction.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Leads the perioperative team by focusing on safe patient care while effectively managing operations
• Has 24/7 responsibility for this department
• Coaches subordinates providing feedback; constructive critique of work; facilitates individual development plan; and documents their job performance
• Enforces standards of care for surgical services and develops processes to measure and ensure consistent compliance
• Oversees a PI program that consistently monitors and evaluates critical aspects of care
• Responsible for the fiscal management of department; assures proper utilization of organization’s financial resources

Qualifications:

• Must have BSN and Main OR experience
• Master's degree MHA, MSN, MBA, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in Surgical Services, preferably OR nursing
• 3+ years of experience in a leadership role or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
• Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR)
• Certified Surgical Services Manager (CSSM)
