Description
Provides patient transportation within the hospital as directed. Obtains venous blood samples and performs various testing in a correct and timely manner according to protocol. Transports specimens/supplies to other departments as directed. Assists Emergency Department nursing staff with other procedures and duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Basic Computer Knowledge
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Three months experience, preferably in hospitals is desirable, or an equivalent combination of training all experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Texas Certified Nurse Aide or EMT certification required.
- Basic cardiac life support certification obtained within three months of employment and maintained thereafter.
