Coder Level III

-Shift Type - Day
-Full time and permanent position
Responsibilities:
Accurately codes charts of discharged patients; abstracts pertinent data; assigns DRGs and/or APCs.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education: High School graduate with courses in Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology, ICD-9-CM Coding and CPT-4 coding.
Required Certification/Registration: CCS/CCA, with minimum six months recent coding experience, or RHIT or RHIA with at least one year of recent full time coding experience, or CCS-P, CPC with at least two years recent experience.
