Inpatient Coder

Full Time, Permanent Position
Responsibilities:
Accurately codes charts of discharged patients; abstracts pertinent data; assigns DRGs to inpatient accounts.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education: High School graduate with courses in Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology, ICD 10 CM & ICD 10 PCS coding
Minimum Experience: See below
Required Certification/Registration: CCS/ CIC, with minimum six months recent coding experience, OR RHIT or RHIA with at least one year of recent full time coding experience.
