Permanent Nurse Educator/Quality Assurance Nurse Opening Central Massachusetts

• Permanent full time position
• In this role you will collect quality data needed to formulate improvement plans and to prioritize QA, QI, and training initiatives through record reviews, and staff/patient observations/interactions. Oversees, coordinates, and tracks educational activities for nursing staff and other disciplines, including orientation, mandatory annual trainings and training activities designed to improve performance and meet regulatory guidelines. Collaborates with Discipline Supervisors and Nurse Manager to ensure staff competencies in providing person-centered, trauma- informed and recovery-oriented care for all patients. Serves as Liaison for nursing schools and nursing students on the mental health units. Supervises, oversees, and coordinates staff development activities across shifts, by teaching or assigning classes to appropriate staff, coordinating and scheduling mandatory training classes, and providing encouragement and support to staff in completing required classes, competencies and/or corrective action plans.
• Requirements
  • Current and valid registration as a professional nurse under the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing.
  • Must have two years of full time, or equivalent part time experience as an RN in a recognized hospital, or psychiatric facility.
  • Must have at least one year of experience in a supervisory, administrative or managerial capacity.
