(Archived) IVF Coordinator

Position: Mandarin speaking IVF Coordinator - MA or LPN/LVN
Location: Pasadena, CA
Duration: Full Time / Direct Hire / Permanent

Job Details:

• Meet with potential patients and review the client process, options, and expectations.
• Coordinate the activities that are required to initiate the treatment plan, i.e. surgery, IUI, IVF, PGD, etc.
• Ensure that all tasks and responsibilities are carried out effectively and efficiently.
• Prepare IVF cycle start list, make sure insurance coordinator, financial & 3rd party financial counselor and office manager receive updated copies of this list.
• Prepare calendar/schedules for patients & Coordinate IVF cycles.
• Maintain patient/couple medical records, including consents and authorizations.
• Provide patient education and health teaching as appropriate, including injection technique.
• Schedule Intrauterine Inseminations (IUI’s).
• Obtain appropriate authorizations for patient medications if necessary
• Diagnostic and monitoring ultrasounds
• Diagnostic procedures: Egg Retrievals and Embryo Transfers
• Venipuncture & Start IV’s (licensed/certified personnel) and management of IV therapy
• Administer medications and Meet with cycling patients.
• Assist physician in providing informative and effective communication with patient/couples.
• Patient phone calls, including afternoon callbacks with test results/instructions
• Maintain SART worksheets and enter in computer and update
• Send cards for negative pregnancy (IVF) and graduation of pregnant patients who are going to OB/GYN
• Maintain follow up patient log generated by NP’s seen for potential IVF patients

Requirements:

• MA or LPN/LVN licensed in California: required
• IVF/Fertility Experience: required
• Fluent in reading/writing/speaking Mandarin & English: required
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to interface with ART team, Primary Physician, and Supervisor
