Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Clinical Practice Educator-OSF Urgo provides training and education that is consistent with clinical standards within OSF MSS and the urgent care model. Clinical Educator assesses the education, competency, and skill-building needs mission partners and providers. Responsible for development and implementation of innovative, high quality education created in accordance with best practice and in alignment with the strategic goals and clinical initiatives of OSF. Responsible for the implementation of clinical standards of care/policies and ensuring nursing/clinical competency as well as regulatory requirements.


Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
BSN
Current licensure by the State Board of Nursing in appropriate state (Illinois or Michigan)
Own transportation and valid driver’s license
Current American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS is required prior to start date of employment.
Instructor of CPR or in process of obtaining instructor certification within the first 90 days of employment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
MSN
Clinical nursing experience of at least 5 years in Ambulatory environment.
Experience in education of at least 2 years
Electronic Medical Record and Microsoft application basic proficiency
