Job Information
- Provides end-user support for clinical staff at the subsidiary.
- Identifies clinical processes and stakeholders involved in the implementation of new functionality.
- Performs current state workflow assessment and leads stakeholder teams in future state workflow design based on an understanding of the functionality and clinical processes.
- Responsible for timely completion of subsidiary deliverables within the project plan; identifies resources required and obtains executive support as needed.
- Coordinates technology requirements with site IT Executive.
- Coordinates site end user training for all new and revised clinical information applications.
- Performs ongoing assessments of clinical information system adoption and works with responsible department head(s) to address issues and barriers.
- Promotes the integration and use of evidence-based medicine and best practices in all applications.
- Collaborates with system colleagues to identify clinical operational best practices.
- Completes initial and ongoing build of clinical order sets in collaboration with the medical staff leadership, and departments receiving orders through functionality.
- Participates in testing for upgrade or revision of clinical systems.
- Coordinates workload with CISs and Corporate IT leadership to avoid duplication of effort and maximize efficient achievement of goals and deliverables.
- Develops system templates and resources to facilitate knowledge transfer related to: cutover processes, implementation support models, end user training, etc.
- Coordinates with CISs at all sites to promote and achieve standardization within area of responsibility.
- Provides support for installations at all sites.
- Works with medical affairs to maintain caregiver master roles in support of CPOE functionality.
- Participates in site quality activities in support of optimizing clinical information support of data collection and performance in clinical quality metrics.
- Attends meetings, conferences, seminars, etc. and completes applicable reading to remain current on quality management and related information.
Requirements
- 3+ Years of Hospital Experience
- Leadership Experience
- Clinical experience training staff on Cerner
- Michigan License must be active
