Improvement Specialist RN – Oncology
- The Quality Improvement Specialist will be a RN or NP and will be part of the Quality team across the health system.
- Will support multiple hospitals in the system
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Director of Quality, the role of the Quality Improvement Specialist will consist of participation in all aspects of quality reviews, data abstraction, and data entry to ensure ongoing auditing and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
- Acts as an internal quality consultant for the hospital and outpatient oncology clinics at all levels
- Participates in the development of an oncology home model considering social determinants of health and population health
- Participates as an active member of the Integrated Network Cancer Program (INCP)
- Assists with programmatic development and readiness to achieve National Accreditation Program for Breast Center (NAPBC) and National Accreditation Program for Rectal Cancer (NAPRC)
- Participates in Quality Improvement projects for annual submission to the American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer
- The QIS should have a background in oncology.
