Loyal Source is hiring a Registered Nurse to work at Mount Weather Emergency Operations Center (MWEOC) located in Bluemont, VA.

SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday from 7:00am – 3:30pm

REQUIREMENTS:

• ASN required, BSN Degree preferred

• A current, valid, unrestricted license in any one of the fifty States

• BLS and ACLS certification

• 2 years of experience working as an Occupational Health Nurse or Preventative Medicine within the past 5 years.

• Must have an active Top Secret Clearance

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

• The Registered Nurse will work under the direction of the on-site Physician.

• The RN will assist the physician with all duties listed above.

• In addition, the RN will provide patient medical record maintenance and administrative support for approximately 8,000 medical records of current and former employees.

  • Protect the privacy of patients and the confidentiality and physical security of all patient medical records, and provide access to patient medical and behavioral health records, in accordance with: 1) The Privacy Act as codified in 10 CFR 1008; 2) “Access to Exposure and Medical Records” as codified in 29 CFR 1910.1020 (OSHA Standard); and 3) The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.

  • Provide copies of medical records to other professional medical and behavioral health providers and third-party medical claims processor(s) as appropriate and in a manner consistent with all applicable laws and standards

  • When requested, provide collection and analysis of patient health data for the purpose of early detection and prevention of occupational and non-occupational illness and injuries.
