Job Description

Position Title: Cardiac Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN)
Available Shifts:

  • Nights (Rotating Weekends)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Cardiac Med-Surg RN to join our team. As an RN in this role, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, collaborating closely with medical providers and the care team. Your work will be vital in ensuring positive clinical outcomes and an outstanding patient experience. You will advocate for patients and their families, embodying our values while providing care that is personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate.

What You'll Do:

  • Patient Assessment: Assess patients’ conditions at the start of every shift and whenever there are changes in patient status, promptly reporting any concerns to the care team.

  • Care Administration: Perform procedures, administer medications, monitor responses, and ensure accurate and timely documentation of all care in the patient’s medical record.

  • Patient Interaction: Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, anticipating needs, and proactively resolving issues.

  • Patient Education: Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient’s condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up care, ensuring they fully understand the medical details.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: Candidates must have recent Acute Care RN experience within the last 3 years (unless the candidate has extensive RN experience, then it can be within the last 5 years). While Med-Surg experience is preferred, other acute care experiences are acceptable.

  • Licensing & Certification:

    • Registered Nurse (RN)

    • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 30 days of employment start date

    • Associate Degree (BSN preferred)

  • Skills: Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while providing compassionate care.
