Seeking a Full-Time & Permanent Surgical Technologist in the CVOR

Schedule: 6:30am - 5:00pm (1 weekend call a month / 3-4 week night calls a month)

Candidates must be a Certified Surgical Technologist and have experience in the CVOR.

This hospital is a nationally recognized academic medical center. They are also a nationally verified Level 1 Trauma Center, and Magnet recognized for nursing excellence. The facility serves a region of 30 counties with a total population over nearly 1 million residents. The hospital currently employs over 4,000 people with a medical staff of 700 physicians. They are one of the largest facilities in the state, and area licensed for 630+ beds. Their Emergency Center has helipad capability and their multiple urgent care centers treat over 130,000 patients on an annual basis.

Job Description:

• Under the direction of the RN, performs additional delegated duties and responsibilities in assisting in the care of the patient. Is responsible for designated equipment and supplies used in the case
• Must accept personal responsibility for his/ her performance, communication, and relationships with others
• Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Prepares surgical instrumentation for sterilization and pulls together needed materials for procedures
• Prepares the sterile field, instrumentation and equipment for surgical procedures, anticipating the needs of the surgeon, and assist the nurse ,and the anesthesia provider as needed
