We have a very specialized search in Shreveport Louisiana for a Registered Nurse who has a strong desire to take the next steps and learn about a new Risk Management Career. If your Nursing experience has been in the ER or Managed Care or a Clinical your exposure with working with patients in all situations would be an asset for this opportunity because you had to evaluate and seek out all possible solutions prior to selecting the best method of care. Being an analytical thinker is a crucial part of Risk Management.

As the Regional Risk Manager, you will be identifying, analyzing to reduce risk for this Insurance carrier and their clients. The Risk Manager will be an integral part of the development and implementation of the RM program in an assigned territory to individuals, large groups and healthcare facility insureds.

DETAILS

• Their office located in the area of Shreveport, LA ar an opening for a Regional Risk Manage that currently resides in or near that area or perhaps is considering relocation to that area.
• They prefer that the Risk Manager have a Bachelor’s in Nursing Degree however an Associate Degree in Nursing will be considered if lieu of strong Nursing experience in areas that required analytical thinking.
• You must be willing to travel (some limited overnight travel is mandatory) to the regions located in and around Shreveport.
• You must be a professional who has exceptional communication skills.

This company is eager to provide extensive training and knowledge on the Risk Management aspect of Healthcare, so that the Risk Manager is comfortable with their role and can provide a high level of service to their insured. A part of this training will include giving you the knowledge and tools to successfully:

• Conduct and analyze medical claims
• Conduct assessments for individuals or group medical practice and healthcare facilities

• Educate insured on ways to eliminate loss prevention and loss control
• Consult by telephone or live presentations to insured to provide education on Risk Management. This will include physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nursing staff and medical office staff.
• Conduct loss analysis based upon internal and external date or information
• Draw conclusions for developing and implementing loss prevention and loss control interventions through knowledge and research
