Job Description
Offering $2,500 Sign on Bonus or $10,000 Student Loan Repayment
MULTIPLE POSITIONS AVAILABLE
- Provides professional nursing services, health care and treatment to offenders in an adult correctional institution.
- Assesses offenders’ health problems and needs, prepares and administers prescribed medications, initiates emergency interventions, first aid measures, and assists physician.
- Develops and implements medical/nursing guidelines and maintains medical records.
- Provides training as necessary to staff and education to offenders about healthy lifestyles.
- Graduation from a recognized accredited school of Nursing.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse by the Virginia Board of Nursing (or other states participating in the Nurse Licensure Compact).
- Working knowledge of principles and practices of professional nursing.
- Prefer experience working in a Corrections or Law enforcement environment.
