TITLE: Nurse Manager-Cancer Center
LOCATION: New Concord, OH

Summary:
The Nurse Manager oversees a team of nurses, techs and other assigned staff that provide healthcare services to patients.
Typical duties include training, scheduling and mentoring nursing staff, managing a budget for their team and consulting on patient treatment plans.
Responsibilities:
-Developing the personnel, physical environment, materials, and organizational systems to provide competitive, cost-effective services.
-Controlling the department's inventory of supplies and equipment.
-Evaluates customer/service environment for changes in-patient and/or service needs.
-Analyze and monitor budget expenditures.
-Assess and plans new capital equipment needs with appropriate customers.
-Evaluates equipment and supply needs on a regular basis.
-Develops, implements, and evaluates programs to assure quality patient care.
-Responds to patient experience needs in a timely manner.
-Coaches associates and provides feedback, tracks productivity, critiques ideas and helps problem solve.
-Collaborates with colleagues to develop various orientation and training programs.
-Develops a unit schedule to provide high quality patient care and efficient use of resources.
-Recruits, hires, orients, trains and evaluates associates.
-Interprets, monitors, and enforces staff compliance with regulatory requirements.
-Timely filing of all variance reports with medical center’s Risk Manager.
-Completes all assignments accurately and timely.
-Effectively communications with staff on departmental issues, organizational issues and performance related to the balanced scorecard.
-Demonstrates the organizational values through their interactions with associates, peers and visitors.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Licensed and currently registered(or eligible) as a professional nurse in the State of Ohio.
Minimum of 5 years nursing experience with evidence of progressive responsible management experience.
Additional Info:
Position reports to Administration/CNO.
The position is day shift, M-F from 8am-4:30pm.
The hospital offers an hourly rate 90K-100K plus shift differentials depending on experience and they offer a full benefit package.
