Job Description

Medcare Staffing is seeking for an Associate Director of Clinical Operations in Atlanta GA.

You would primarily work in Atlanta but needs to be able to travel to other clinics at Dunwoody and Clarkston campuses. Depending on the “op tempo,” up to 2 remote days per week are possible. However, there may be weeks when remote days are not feasible. Clinic hours are 8:30-5:15 with a 45-minute lunch.

The job duties are:

  • Responsible for the administrative and clinical supervision and evaluation of all Student Health Clinic staff—including but not limited to Medical Assistants, Immunization Coordinators, Administrative Coordinator(s), Medical Secretaries, Health Educator(s), Business Coordinator(s) and Providers—in coordination with the Medical Director
  • Provides direction, leadership, and strategic planning for the administrative and operational practice management of the Student Health Clinic, under the leadership of the Medical Director and/or AVP of Health and Wellness, consistent with the university's mission.
  • Collaborate with Medical Director to develop and implement health center procedures and protocols.
  • Responsible for customer service and general inquiries with respect to the student health clinic services on all university campuses, directing complaints regarding the quality of care to the Medical Director.
  • Responsible for the staffing and scheduling of the clinical and administrative staff of the Student Health Clinics on all university campuses, under the leadership of the Medical Director.
  • Supervise the budget development and management for Student Health Clinics on all university campuses.
  • Oversee supply management and ordering.
  • Be proficient in use of computer programs, including, but not limited to, MS Office, MS Teams, and electronic medical records.
  • Supervise clinic staff with respect to appropriate medical chart coding and billing, including credentialing staff with relevant insurance companies. Ensures compliance with all policies and regulations regarding coding and billing, payment, electronic medical records, charting and submitting any data as required.
  • Supervise the preparation and execution of contracted medical services for all clinics.
  • Works closely with other campus departments in meeting the health needs of the campus community, including such services as mandated immunizations and health status assessments.
  • Maintains current information and trends in the field of college health care.
  • Serves as liaison with community, health care professionals and agencies for the purpose of making effective referrals and coordinating health care resources, in conjunction with the Medical Director.
  • Serves as resource for the college community on issues related to disease prevention, safety and health advocacy in conjunction with the health educator and Medical Director.
  • Coordinates case management of patients including, but not limited to, referral to specialties and hospital emergency rooms and follow-up as appropriate.
  • Ensures compliance with FERPA, the Georgia Composite Medical Board, CLIA, Department of Health, USG-BOR, and OHSA standards, including completing and maintaining paperwork for supervisory physicians, CLIA certification and others as necessary.
  • Maintains training files and assists with training program for clinic staff to ensure compliance with CME requirements.
  • Oversees record systems and ensures confidentiality of records in accordance with College, USG-BOR, State, and Federal policies and guidelines.
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned or directed by the Medical Director or the AVP of Health and Wellness.

The requirements are:

  • The candidate should have a master’s degree in a health-related or a business-related field and work experience or other degree in the opposite field.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certificate required.
  • Current valid Georgia medical license (RN, MA, etc.) preferred.
  • At least 3 years of work experience preferred
