Job Description

Full Time RN Director for a Geriatric Behavioral Health unit needed at one of the top critical access hospitals

This nurturing inpatient program is for geriatric patients 65 years and older with persistent or late onset behavioral health illnesses or concerns. Specialized care focuses on assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, prevention, family/community support and education surrounding behavioral health.

RN Director
Full Time, Day Shift, Oversees 20 people

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The Director of Psychiatric Nursing Services must have a Masters in psychiatric or mental health nursing, or its equivalent, through education or experience.

MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Overall management/leadership of department operational goals. Screen patients coming into unit, insurance verification, mentoring of staff, competency of staff, safe discharge plans. The director must demonstrate competence to participate in interdisciplinary formulation of individual treatment plans, to give skilled nursing care and therapy, and to direct, monitor and evaluation nursing care delivered.
