Overview:
***This client is looking for nurses with a minimum of 1 year of recent, acute experience in a hospital setting (recent = within the past 1-2 years). They prefer the candidate to have at least 1 year of experience in the specialty they are applying for but will consider any RN that meets the acute experience qualifications.***

We are seeking dedicated, talented nurses to join our Medical/Stroke/Telemetry 24-bed unit, specializing in care of the neuroscience patients. All patient rooms are private and this team-oriented unit handles a wide variety of medical and neurological disorders including CVA, TIA, brain tumors, multiple sclerosis, seizures, cerebral aneurysms, Parkinson's disease and subdural/intracerebral hemorrhages.

This organization is certified as a Primary Stroke Center through the Joint Commission, and these nurses will be working in the designated Stroke Unit.


Top "Must-Have" Skills for This Job –
1. RN Licensure with state of Virginia
2. BLS for the Healthcare Provider CPR
3. 1 year of recent Med/Surg or relevant experience required in an acute/hospital setting
4. Emphasis on care of the patient with CVA and alteration in neurological function preferred
5. NIHSS certification within 90 days of hire
