Job Description

1. General job duties. Types of procedures required.
The House Supervisor serves as a point of care leader and role model for all acute care areas within the hospital. The House Supervisor must demonstrate a high level of clinical competence, excellent critical thinking skills, and a strong ability to manage patient flow throughout the organization, with emphasis on staff support and customer service. This is a great opportunity for nurses looking to actively apply clinical knowledge and skills within a leadership role. The RN House Supervisor acts as a liaison to physicians, admitting staff, and care coordination teams to promote optimal patient care, facilitate patient admission, discharge, intra-hospital and inter-facility transfer. Collaborates with clinical and administrative staff to define, reduce, and eliminate barriers within the system that may impeded patient flow.

Cerner


3. Required skills and minimum years of experience.
Supervisory experience and 3-5 years critical care experience preferred.


4. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc)
Current NH RN License and BLS, ACLS, Dysrhythmia, CPI


5. Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?)
Full time nights or days. Days is 7a-7p, Nights is 7p-7a - 36 hours per week
Every other Saturday for the weekend requirement


6. Floating to other units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments?)
floating to lakes region hospital and franklin regional hospital

scrubs


8.Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program.
There is a thorough orientation program that can range from 6 weeks to 12 weeks depending on how fast the person learns the position.
