Job Description

Nurse Manager of Cath Lab needed

This role plans and implements the overall policies, procedures, and services of the cardiac catheterization lab. Ensures efficient and effective lab operations, including quality control and compliance adherence. May be responsible for hiring and training of new employees as well as budgetary control for the lab. Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program and have at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the fields concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Our cardiac and vascular teams are composed of highly trained heart, vascular and thoracic surgeons, cardiologists, interventional radiologists, nurses and technicians working together to provide comprehensive, compassionate care. We provide the full range of heart care from emergency intervention and minimally invasive procedures to open heart surgery, cardiac rehabilitation and clinical trials. Additional Tasks:

  • Develops, oversees, and evaluates the continuum of care for cardiology Cardiovascular Services Programs.
  • Develops mission and vision statements, a business and operating plan, reviewing and revising as necessary, monitoring progress.
  • On an annual basis, develops and implements a marketing plan.
  • Effectively coordinates services within the cardiovascular division, the hospital and system activities.
  • Develops and implements strategies to enhance the market and financial position of cardiovascular services.
  • Assists in identifying and/or obtaining grants and contracts related to cardiovascular services.
  • Utilizes and coordinates Iameter data to effect cost-effective changes.
  • Directs and/or performs the functions of pricing and service design, that impact profitability and/or volume margin.
  • Facilitates the management of cardiovascular patients on their respective clinical paths and protocols.
  • Develops standards, policies, and procedures that govern cardiovascular programs and services.
  • Coordinates and provides education programs specific to cardiovascular services for the community, patient/family and professional staff.
  • Establishes and maintains contacts with companies, professional organizations, individual physicians, or other entities that directly or indirectly influence programs/services.
