Seeking experience RN for a Pulmonary Nurse Manager role
Hiring during COVID-19.
Work Schedule: Days
Summary: Oversees day to day operations of Cardio-Pulmonary department, coordinates Cardio-Pulmonary equipment and productivity.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for preparation and ongoing review of Cardio-Pulmonary Services budget
- Monthly evaluation of cost centers within the department through the DMR and the equipment / order tracking process, including monthly costs per Unit of Service, and department productivity reports
- Maintains capital equipment records, to include new acquisitions, trading, selling and tracking of capital equipment, oversee departmental non-capital equipment issues
- Drafts new departmental procedures, structure standards, techniques and competencies and reviewing / revising existing ones
- Participates in departmental QM plan / JCAHO readiness
- Direct supervision of the Cardio-Pulmonary staff, including performance evaluations and counseling
- Participates in programs for Respiratory staff, attends meetings, and participates on committees as needed. Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs and current literature and workshops
- Develops and oversees staff education, and interdepartmental education programs
- Oversees Pulmonary Services Clinical Career Ladder
- Directs candidate screening, interview scheduling, and hiring via People Click program
Qualifications
Two to three years college level courses/Associates Degree/Diploma in Respiratory Care preferred. New Mexico State Respiratory Care Practitioner License required. Three to five years experience in management. Respiratory Therapist credential from the NBRC.
