Job Description

We are seeking a Registered Nurse in the Correctional divisions to join our team!

Location: State of Nebraska - Lincoln,

Schedule: Days, Nights

Registered Nurse Responsibilities:

As a Registered Nurse you know that every day is different, which is why you need to know how to:

  • Recognize and address patients’ psychological and physical needs
  • Foster continuity and quality of care with the best interest and well-being of patients and their families in mind
  • Assess a patients’ medical status upon admission
  • Assist in developing individualized treatment plans
  • Comply with evaluation, treatment and documentation guidelines
  • Oversee care delivered by LPNs and/or CNAs
  • Participate in clinical team conferences
  • Continually expand your knowledge
  • Help improve our facility and safety programs
  • Follow hospital, regulatory and professional guidelines, policies and procedures
  • Communicate compassionately and effectively

Registered Nurse Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields
  • Familiarity with medical software and equipment
  • Ability to build rapport with patients.
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Registered Nurse Education & Experience:

  • Up to Date Vaccinations
  • Up-to-date Resume
  • Valid Driver's License or ID Card
    • ASN from an accredited program with the ability to obtain your BSN from an accredited program within 4 years of your hire
    • Current Nebraska RN license
    • Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association
    • One year of nursing experience in a comparable setting preferred
    • Must be able to successfully pass polygraph, drug screen and background investigation.

  • Well organized and possess detailed assessment skills.
  • Ability to think and act critically.
  • Interact well with others.
  • Remain current in health care standards, as well as changes in community nursing care standards.
