Overview:
This RN will care for the patients of the Transitional Care Unit by providing both direct and indirect care based on the patient needs to include teaching, discharge planning and care of medical conditions as directed by the patient’s physician. They will also need to provide for non-emergent and urgent care as the needs arise and to provide for the well being for the patient entrusted to the care of Transitional Care Unit inclusive of the physical, emotional and psycho-social issues that arise during their stay in the unit.
Required skills & experience (the “must haves” to be considered):
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Minimum one year of rehab or transitional care nursing experience with demonstration of clinical skills
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing; license must be current within SC License Registry
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification or must obtain within 90 days of employment.
